ISM Fabrication Shop

We are a 20,000 sq. foot shop with 25 employees. More than 3000 tons of steel went through our main shop last year. With 3 bays and 6 Overhead cranes to work with, this is a very high production facility keeping up with today's growth. I.S.M. also has a yard that is over 20,000 sq. feet for storage of steel.

Metal fabrication is a value process that involves the construction of machines & structures from various raw materials. A fab shop will bid on a job, usually based on the engineered drawings, and if awarded the contract will build the product. Fab shops are employed by general contractors. Typical projects include loose parts, structural frames for buildings and heavy equipment. They also build handrails and stairs for buildings. Our detailers on site use Tekla Structures & X-Steel on all our projects. Tekla is the first structural building information system covering the entire structural design process from conceptual design to detailing, fabrication and construction. Tekla Structures is the ideal solution to address the needs of consulting engineers, project designers, detailers and project managers. With the nature of our structural and miscellaneous steel projects our detailers work closely with engineers, architects, contractors, fabrication shop and erection crew during the entire process. At I.S.M. we use the latest in computer technology and software packages which allows us to send high quality detail and shop drawings to the shop as well as erection plans to the field. Our detailing department offers opportunities with advancement, good salary, & benefit package. All of our engineering services are provided by licensed third-party engineering firms or engineers.
